|
It s the one that goes from Lockport (near Buffalo) to Palmyra (near Rochester)
Does anybody know if the entire trail is wide and well-paved enough to bike the entire 70 miles of it? I ve biked on gravely trails before, kinda like the way the trail is between Pittsford and Fairport, so that doesn t bother me, but I was just wondering if it was paved well enough that you could bike the entire thing. Also, I m wondering if anybody has done it and can tell me what it s like. The most I ve ever biked is 50 miles in a day, so it might be a little while before I can do the whole thing (I live in Brighton, near the east end of the trail, so going east is about 15 miles one way/30 miles round trip for me, west is about 55/110), but I was just wondering if it was doable. Also, are there places to stop and rest, get something to eat/drink/etc. along the way too? The NY Canal website wasn t very helpful, so any info from anyone who s familiar with the trail would be appreciated. Thanks. |
