I have done BCom and Masters in Financial Management from India. I have worked in Back Office Operation of Standard Chartered Bank, London based in Chennai,India. I have worked in TCS India( Back Office Operation of Barclays Bank PLC, London). Currently am working as an Office Administrator in the US. I want to do CPA. But I need to know its scope in India before I start. I plan to go back after a couple of years.

my problem : i tried to deposit thru machine and it unluckily went out of service when my money (salary) was being counted, and i did not even get to input my a/c number, the machine is still out of service, i went to the bank but they told me it is not guaranteed that i m gonna get my money, is there anything that can help me get my money back? because i dont think it is my responsibiity since the money depositing service is under Standard Chartered bank. I m really gonna lose my salary i had. Please help me out frends. What should I do ???? Please help me. If the bank is not showing helpfulness, what should I do? where should I report?

Hi,
I’m 21 y.o and have just graduated from a BCom (Eco&Fin) with a credit average. This is due to a number of reasons and I feel that it is not a true reflection of my academic ability.I did a stint with a stockbroker as a Clearing Officer, after four months having realised it was something I disliked it came to an end. I am drawn to Funds Management but at the same time would like to keep the door open to possibilities in Investment Banking (M&A). I have commenced the CFA and was planning to work part time to allow enough study to ensure I get level 1 before venturing back to try find work in FM or IB. Will having a CFA level 1 grant me a great entry type role here? Is it wiser to do anything in finance whilst doing the CFA? My concern is that I will get into another role I don’t like and will steal study time from the CFA and in the end leave me with neither the role I want nor the CFA charter.I worry that a wrong role now will limit later access to these areas.

I am keen on MBA programs. However some of the top programs here in Australia require four or more years work experience as a professional or executive…

I was planning to get CFA level 1 then get a job in one of these areas whilst pursuing the remaining 2 levels of the CFA. By then I should have a few years experience to qualify for the CFA charter and then after year or so might head into a MBA program.

I just hope I get a relevant job after competing level 1 so that it will build on that experience that both programs have as prerequisites.

Id much rather do the CFA now and a reputable MBA later. It just worries me that I might get level 1 or 2 in the CFA and when I start to look for work in these areas the employers will say. Hang on a second you don’t have experience…

And demand them to be by a CHARTERED accountant as we are applying for a increase in our mortgage - which we have with them already. Plenty of equity in house. Chartered accountant said this is not normal practise. HELP!!!!!!

The Bank of England serves the same purpose in my country.. You can not get information on accounts holdings, directors, or any information at all because it was formed under the royal charter. The Queen is above the law and does not have to provide any information as head of state to anyone.

We have no way to see the truth of their activities and investments… Do americans have that ability is that information in the public domain… If it is how many people have bothered to find out…?
